The video for "Let Me By Myself," the third single from the band's self-titled studio album, also served as the theme song for GEICO's commercials with the GEICO Cavemen.
GEICO also featured excerpts from the "Let Me By Myself" music video in the two television commercials which were broadcast and licensed for the web between 2009 and early 2010.
Since forming in 1995, 3 Doors Down has become a multi-platinum-selling band. Their current album, 3 Doors Down, is their second studio album to debut at #1 (as well as their fourth album to reach the Top Ten), and includes the #1 Top 40 and #1 Mainstream Rock track "It's Not My Time."
Another popular TV ad from just a few years ago had everyone humming. The song playing in the airport, as the caveman rides the moving sidewalk, is "Remind Me" by Norwegian electronic music duo, Royksöpp.
