GEICO's Catastrophe Response Team (CAT) will be deployed to Fernley and will remain until all claims are resolved. Nevada Insurance Commissioner Alice Molasky-Arman has declared Fernley to be an insurance disaster.
"We have already prepared our CAT teams with the supplies they need and will move them into the affected areas," said Martha Furnas, assistant vice president and general manger of the Tucson office. She continued, "GEICO's goal is to inspect customers' damaged vehicles within 48 hours from the report date of the claim and claims will be processed immediately.
