UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., February 22, 2008 - The GEICO Gecko is shining his dance shoes and brushing up on his dance moves in preparation for this weekend's Penn State Dance Marathon. He plans to make several appearances throughout the 48-hour dance marathon, known as THON to all Penn State students, to motivate the dancers with giveaways and pose for pictures with the young children.

As a sponsor of the 2008 Penn State Dance Marathon, GEICO contributed $12,500 to benefit pediatric cancer research and The Four Diamonds Fund. GEICO has also been a sponsor at the $10,000 level for each of the past two years.
