GEICO associate in Woodbury sells company's 8 millionth auto policy

WOODBURY, N.Y., October 9, 2007 - GEICO sales representative Richard Striano in Woodbury recently made history by selling the company's eight millionth auto insurance policy.

"I'm happy to celebrate this recognition with my section," said Striano. Striano sold GEICO's eight millionth policy to Donna Bador of Clifton, N.J., who was looking for a new car insurance policy after recently moving to New Jersey from Vermont.

"Rich is truly a team player," said Robin Jessie, Striano's supervisor. "His customers love him and seeing him receive an award in this style and magnitude is wonderful."

Regional Vice President Seth Ingall presented Striano with a gift check last week during a surprise announcement. "We would never have been able to reach this milestone without our dedicated associates and our loyal policyholders," he said. "Richard's efforts are an outstanding example of the great work all of our associates do here at GEICO everyday."

Striano, who has been with the company since May 2005, helped GEICO reach this new milestone during the company's 71st anniversary year.
