WASHINGTON, D.C., October 9, 2007 -GEICO boosted its policyholder base to eight million customers last month when the company signed Donna Bador of Clifton, N.J., to a new auto insurance policy.
GEICO sales associate Richard Striano in the company's Woodbury office made the record-breaking sale.

GEICO associates around the country held celebrations in all of its 12 major regional offices. They also participated in a policyholder watch contest to guess when the eight millionth policyholder would be reached. Associates in offices throughout the country who were closest to the date and time earned prizes.
