FORT WASHINGTON, Md., June 2, 2008 - GEICO Field Representative Sylvia Hopkins recently awarded Cadet Teresa Crenshaw of Friendly High School in Fort Washington, Md., a $500 college scholarship during recent special student recognition ceremonies.
GEICO honored Cadet Crenshaw because of her impressive 3.95 G.P.A and proven leadership ability. GEICO recently presented her with the scholarship at the Friendly High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) Awards Ceremony.
The annual event honored 25 cadets from Friendly High School's NJROTC, the largest program in the nation.
Cadet Crenshaw will be attending Towson University in Towson, Md., in the fall.
