WASHINGTON, D.C., June 4, 2010 – Eighty-three college and university students around the country have earned $1,000 GEICO Achievement Awards for the successes they demonstrated during the 2009–2010 academic year.
The GEICO Achievement Awards are presented to students who have excelled academically in business, computer science, mathematics or a related program and have demonstrated leadership within their campus or community.

"The recipients of the GEICO Achievement Award are chosen for their exceptional ability to demonstrate academic accomplishment and leadership skills. We hope to aid these students in accomplishing their goals during the upcoming academic year."
The GEICO Achievement Award program requires that students are undergraduates attending an accredited four-year college or university, possess sophomore or junior status, and have a 3.0 overall GPA or higher when they apply.
