GEICO helps Northeast residents prepare for Earl

WOODBURY, N.Y., September 3, 2010 – As Hurricane Earl heads further north towards New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut, GEICO is preparing its Catastrophe Response Teams (CAT) to follow the hurricane up the Eastern Seaboard.

GEICO’s latest online Catastrophe Center is now carrying preparedness tips, links to additional hurricane information, weather sites, and immediate claims-handling procedures. In addition, visit GEICO’s YouTube page for a video on what to do as Earl approaches.

GEICO is urging its policyholders to log onto www.geico.com or call 1-800-841-3000 as soon as they experience any damage. GEICO is prepared to dispatch special claims teams to get people back on the road.
