LAKELAND, Fla., Oct., 28, 2010 – Don Robinson has been named assistant vice president of the GEICO companies. He will be responsible for managing underwriting, sales and service for the company’s Lakeland, Fla., regional office. Prior to the announcement, he served as the region’s director of service.
Robinson began his career at GEICO in 1997 as a sales counselor. He has held a number of positions during his 14 year career, including sales supervisor, claims adjuster, underwriting supervisor and customer service manager.
“Don’s breadth of experience makes him the ideal choice to take on the underwriting responsibilities in Lakeland,” said Tony Nicely, GEICO chief executive officer. “We expect him to maintain the excellent performance standard that was established by his predecessor.”
Robinson, a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Saint Leo University and an MBA from the University of Central Florida.
