WASHINGTON, D.C., November 14, 2011 – Everything you love about GEICO can now be accessed via mobile device with the launch of the new GEICO App. The GEICO App which expands upon the popular GEICO GloveBox app features a new look and feel, easier navigation and more functionality to provide a great mobile experience.
"Based on customer feedback, we took all of our customer’s favorite things about GEICO and put them into a mobile app," says Steve Smith, GEICO assistant vice president for information technology. "The new GEICO App enhances our mobile capabilities and provides our current and potential customers with the ability to complete a multitude of functions using their mobile device."
All users with a smartphone mobile device will be able to:
- Download digital insurance cards that can be viewed and saved to their device
- Access a step-by-step interactive accident checklist with necessary information needed to file a claim
- Customize the GEICO app with one of their favorite GEICO characters
The GEICO App is free to users and is now available for Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone 7 and Blackberry platforms. The GEICO App joins an expanding list of apps released in 2011 including the GEICO Shortcuts (Facebook) app, GEICO Guinea Pig Getaway app, the GEICO BroStache app and the Caveman Photo Crasher app.
