HARRISBURG, Pa., January 10, 2012 – Frank Rossi, a local GEICO agent in Harrisburg, was presented with the Valued Community Sponsor Designation for his involvement in the U.S. Army’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program.
A plaque was drafted and signed by Maj. Gen. Gregg Martin and presented by MWR military liaison Greg Crouse to Rossi for his commitment to making the MWR program at the Carlisle Barracks/Army War College successful in 2011. Rossi’s local GEICO office sponsored, participated in and contributed to several onsite events during the year including Octoberfest, Jim Thorpe Sports Days, Family Easter Egg Hunt and the MWR Welcome Picnic.
MWR is a network of support and leisure services that enhance the lives of both active and retired US soldiers, their families and their civilian counterparts. MWR accomplishes this by partnering with local business to put on sponsored events, outings and programs that improve the quality of life for troops both domestic and abroad.
