GEICO associates and friends to run March 3 to help raise $50,000 for Special Olympics

Who:
Hundreds of Macon area runners are expected to take part in the 29th Annual GEICO Road Race to benefit Middle Georgia Special Olympics on Saturday, March 3, 2012.

Over the past few decades, runners have succeeded in raising over $600,000 for the Special Olympics and this year they’re hoping to raise more than $50,000 in pledge contributions.

What:
Walking and running participants are invited to join the 5k race to help raise funds for the Middle Georgia Special Olympics.

Where:
4295 Ocmulgee East Blvd
Macon, GA 31295.
Take Exit #6 on I-16; follow signs to the building on the left side of the road.

When:
Saturday, March 3
9:00 a.m.

Race Day registration will also be available from 7 – 9 a.m.

Cost:
$15 if registered by February 24
$20 after February 24 or on Race Day
$10 for participants under age 20
All entry fees include a race shirt
