BUFFALO, N.Y., April 5, 2012 – Seth Ingall has been named vice president of GEICO’s Buffalo regional office with responsibilities for New Jersey and the Northeast. Prior to the announcement, he served as regional vice president of GEICO’s Woodbury, N.Y. operations. Ingall is a member of the Board of Directors of GEICO’s insurance companies.
“Seth has proven throughout his career at GEICO to be a resourceful problem-solver,” said Tony Nicely, GEICO chairman. “His knowledge and experience of regional operations makes him an ideal choice to lead our Buffalo regional office.”
Ingall joined GEICO in 1986. During his tenure, he graduated college, and then earned a law degree while working in claims, before joining the Fairfax, VA, staff counsel office. He subsequently joined the office of staff counsel in Silver Spring, Md., serving as managing attorney. Ingall went on to serve as administrative senior claims attorney in the company’s home office claims department. He was elected assistant vice president for GEICO’s claims operations in the company’s Fredericksburg, Va., regional office and later served as vice president of all claims operations in the country. In 2007, he was named vice president of the Woodbury regional office.
Ingall holds a bachelor’s degree in communications, legal institutions, economics and government from American University and a law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law. He is admitted to the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia Bars. Ingall succeeds Steve Cunningham, who recently retired from GEICO following 34 years with the company.
