DALLAS, April 23, 2012 – For children and teens, scouting provides a unique opportunity to gain knowledge of the outdoors and skills in leadership and teamwork. On Wednesday, April 25, GEICO associates will help nearly 500 students in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area develop those skills through Learning for Life’s Character Camp.
The camp, held at Camp Wisdom in southwest Dallas, is a free, annual, one-day event for K-12 students that incorporates character-building attributes such as positivity, respect, responsibility, cooperation and integrity. GEICO volunteers will join representatives from Learning for Life in mentoring the students as they participate in activities such as archery, crafts, games, team building exercises and many other scouting activities.
