GEICO names Rob Vahey field representative of the year

WYNNEWOOD, Pa., April 23, 2012 – Rob Vahey of Philadelphia was named GEICO’s 2011 field representative of the year for his outstanding sales performance, team leadership and community involvement. His office at 333 E. Lancaster Avenue in Wynnewood, Pa., ranked number one overall among GEICO’s 150 field offices across the country.

“This is a tremendous honor, and it shows that we have put together a really successful team of agents in our office,” Vahey said. “We work closely with each policyholder and try to figure out what kind of auto or home policy is perfect for them, and that is what makes our team as successful as it is.”

Vahey has more than 22 years of property casualty experience, including the last four years with GEICO. Vahey and his staff of 10 full-time team members serve the greater Philadelphia area and are actively involved with community organizations such as Alex’s Lemonade Stand, Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania, the Main Line Chamber of Commerce and Special Olympics Pennsylvania.

Vahey’s list of GEICO accomplishments includes being named top sales leader for homeowners in 2008, first place in national sales in 2009 and outstanding sales leader in homeowners, renters and condo policies sales in 2010. Vahey lives in the Art Museum area of Philadelphia with his wife Corey and their two children.
