HARRISBURG, Pa., June 14, 2012 – GEICO local agent Frank Rossi of Harrisburg, Pa., and his staff helped send off a local Girl Scout troop from York, Pa., to the “Girl Scouts Rock the Mall” event on Saturday in Washington, D.C.
Rossi, his staff and the GEICO Gecko were on hand at the West Manchester Mall Saturday morning prior to the troop’s bus trip from York to the nation’s capital to present the girls and friends and family making the trip with commemorative cinch sacks before seeing them off.
“We were really happy to contribute at a local level in order to help make the ‘Rock the Mall’ celebration a success,” Rossi said. “Girl Scouts is an excellent organization that promotes integrity, responsibility, team work and good citizenship, and we’re glad to help it any way we can.”
More than 200,000 Girl Scouts and their friends and family from across the country attended “Rock the Mall,” which marked the organization’s 100th anniversary. GEICO was a corporate sponsor of the event.
