MACON, Ga. July 2, 2012 – Heather McIntyre has been named assistant vice president of underwriting in GEICO’s Midwest operations, located at the company’s regional office in Macon, Ga. She succeeds Rick Hoagland who was recently promoted to vice president of GEICO’s national claims operations in the Chevy Chase, Md. corporate headquarters.
McIntyre began her GEICO career in the Lakeland, Fla. regional office in 2003. As a member of the first class of GEICO’s emerging leaders program, she rotated through sales, service and claims positions. In 2006, McIntyre was named manager of Miami sales and later promoted to service director for GEICO’s Lakeland office in 2010.
McIntyre holds a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA from the University of Tampa, along with the professional Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
