MACON, Ga., August 28, 2012 – GEICO’s Catastrophe Claims Response Team (CAT) is in place and ready to assist policyholders in Louisiana and other Gulf Coast communities when Hurricane Isaac reaches shore in the coming hours.
GEICO urges policyholders to report their claims online as early as possible on GEICO's claims site or call GEICO's claims team at 1-800-841-3000.
“We’ve been following Isaac very closely, so we are aware of the serious damage this storm can cause,” said Rick Hoagland, vice president of claims for GEICO. “We want people to know that we are ready to assist and do as much as possible to get their claims handled quickly so that they can get back to their everyday lives.”
GEICO urges policyholders to take all necessary steps to protect their families, their homes and their vehicles prior to the storm. The company also urges residents to heed the instructions of their local fire, police and safety officials.
GEICO officials say that additional information is available at GEICO’s online Catastrophe Center with preparedness tips, links to other important hurricane information and weather sites, and immediate claims handling capabilities.
