ATV Insurance Checklist

ATV enthusiasts enjoy the ability to explore the great outdoors while sharing time with friends and family, but there are special considerations to keep in mind when it comes time to purchasing all terrain vehicle insurance. Use this handy checklist when speaking to your GEICO insurance representative for an ATV insurance rate quote.

  • Obtain ATV insurance that includes ATV liability insurance prior to driving or riding an ATV.

  • Verify coverage. Don't assume everyone is covered when riding or driving the ATV. Many insurance policies explicitly exclude youthful operators on ATVs so be sure to specifically ask about exclusions related to age or other considerations when speaking to your GEICO representative.

  • Confirm with your GEICO representative that you are covered outside of your state or origin if operating your ATV in events or situations away from home. If so, make sure you understand local laws. Operating an ATV in accordance with state and local laws is essential for your ATV coverage to remain in effect. When traveling, obtain a copy of state and local laws prior to bringing your ATV along.
