Connecticut Defensive Driver Discount

If you are a resident of Connecticut, you could save up to 10% on applicable coverages by taking a defensive driving course. One way to take advantage of this discount is through an on-line defensive driving course. Since your time is valuable, you will find this course convenient and flexible to your needs.

Completing our suggested defensive driving course offers you the following benefits:

• Discounted course price of $19.95 for GEICO policyholders.
• Convenient processing. After successful completion, the course completion number will automatically be sent to GEICO. Your policy will then be updated to reflect the discount.

In order to receive the discount from GEICO, eligible policyholders will need to follow these two steps:

1. Provide GEICO with a copy of the course completion certificate:
   • Via fax (716) 408-9118 attention: "Policy Processing" or
   • Mail to:
     GEICO
     Attn: Region 2 Policy Processing
     P. O. Box 9506
     Fredericksburg, Virginia 22403-9506
   • Be sure to include your policy number on all correspondence. Once the certificate has been processed, you will receive verification of the savings by mail.
2. Submit all information within 90 days of the course completion in order to have the discount apply from the date the course was completed.

In Connecticut, you may be eligible for this discount if:

• You are 50 years of age or older; and
• You do not have a Driver Training Credit on your policy; and
• You have completed and passed a course approved by GEICO and the National Safety Council (NSC).
