Georgia Defensive Driver Discount

If you are a resident of Georgia, you could save up to 10% on applicable coverages by taking a defensive driving course. One way to take advantage of this discount is through an online defensive driving course. Since your time is valuable, you will find this course convenient and flexible to your needs.

The National Safety Council and the United Safety Council offer online defensive driving courses to GEICO policyholders. Please select the appropriate class from the links below:

Policyholders who are age 50 or older: National Safety Council or the United Safety Council

All other policyholders: National Safety Council or the United Safety Council

Completing our suggested defensive driving course offers you the following benefits:

• Discounted course price for GEICO policyholders who are 50 years of age or older.
• Convenient processing. After successful completion, the course completion number will automatically be sent to GEICO. Your policy will then be updated to reflect the discount.

In Georgia you may be eligible for this discount if:

• You have not committed a traffic offense within the previous three years or had an at-fault claim AND the left corner of your auto insurance ID card indicates GEICO Casualty Insurance Company.
• You have completed and passed a course approved by GEICO and the National Safety Council (NSC) or the United Safety Council (USC).

NOTE: If multiple drivers are sharing one vehicle, all drivers must have completed a defensive driver course to be eligible for the defensive driving discount.
