lock Keeping Your Information Secure

Keeping your personal information secure is of the upmost importance to us. When you click the "Log In" button to start managing your GEICO policy on geico.com we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt your user ID and password.

Why isn't my browser showing its own lock (or https)?

Your user ID and password are transmitted through a secure channel when you submit them, but it is not necessary to apply this process to the rest of the page in order to protect your login credentials. This approach allows us to provide a faster, more convenient experience to you while still keeping your information safe.

Once you have logged in to manage your policy you will be taken to an https page and your browser should display a lock (or whatever icon it uses to indicate a secure page).

Not on your own computer?

You should avoid using the "remember me" feature on geico.com and other sites anytime that you log into a public computer.
