EDISON, N.J., May 23, 2013 – GEICO representatives and Edison Mayor Antonia Ricigliano joined the Gecko on Monday to celebrate with three New Jersey students selected winners of GEICO's 2012-2013 National Safety Poster and Video Contest. Earning cash rewards for their superhero safe driving posters were Joy Chen of East Brunswick, Edmond Ngai of South Plainfield, and Michelle Huang of Edison. They and their families and Mayor Ricigliano met for an award ceremony at the office of GEICO Field Representative Greg Ingrassia in Edison.
The three Garden State students were among 15 winners whose posters were chosen for featuring creative, original superhero characters that promoted safe drives messages such as the importance of wearing safety belts, preventing distracted driving and not speeding.
