GEICO to host Long Island open house for auto damage leadership program June 7
WOODBURY, N.Y., May 28, 2014 – College graduates interested in taking on a leadership role are invited to attend an open house at GEICO's Long Island office in Woodbury, New York, on Saturday, June 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
GEICO is searching for candidates for the Management Development Program (MDP), one of GEICO's accelerated leadership programs, for its auto damage division. Auto damage adjusters are the "face" of GEICO and interact directly with customers. They assess the damage to vehicles that were involved in accidents in order to properly estimate and negotiate repair costs.
Program participants will attend extensive training including four weeks in Virginia, learn the mechanics behind assessing minor and major auto damage to properly estimate, and negotiate repair costs all while preparing to take on a team supervisory role.
MDP candidates must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, at least a 3.0 overall GPA and demonstrated leadership experience — whether on campus, in the community or at work. GEIO offers competitive starting salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, continuing education, and a friendly, supportive workplace.
Candidates interested in attending the open house can RSVP to R2JOBS@geico.com to schedule an interview time. For more information and to learn more about opportunities with GEICO go to the Woodbury careers page. Job seekers are also encouraged to watch the Auto Damage career video on the GEICO Careers YouTube channel.
