“It's important to recognize those who have served and sacrificed in our armed forces, and joining a Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride is a great way for members of the community to do that," said Michael Baker, GEICO director of military marketing. "Many of GEICO's first customers were military members, so we're pleased to continue to support them through this outstanding program."

The cycling tour, launched in 2004, encourages the public to honor injured veterans of this generation recovering from the physical and psychological effects of war. Soldier Ride is an opportunity for the public to support those military men and women by either cheering on the riders during the event or riding or walking along with them.
