GEICO's Dana Machajewski earns The Institute's President's CPCU Scholarship
BUFFALO, N.Y., August 27, 2014 – GEICO's Dana Machajewski, an underwriting trainer in the company's Buffalo, N.Y., regional office, has been awarded The Institute's President's Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Scholarship. The award, of which only 100 are presented annually nationwide, will support Machajewski's pursuit of the CPCU designation course of studies.
The CPCU program consists of 11 courses that cover insurance company operations, management and technical training. The Institute also awarded the scholarship to GEICO's Dana Hornstein, an underwriting associate in the company's Lakeland, Fla., office.
GEICO supports CPCU education for all associates through its Insurance Studies Program and tuition reimbursement programs.
