Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the start time is 9 a.m. The ride will both start and finish at The Old Manse, 269 Monument St., Concord, Mass., and a community picnic for all registered participants will take place at the end of the ride. "Military personnel were some of GEICO's first customers when the company was founded in 1936, and we are proud to continue to support the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country through Wounded Warrior Project's Soldier Ride," said Michael Baker, GEICO director of military marketing.

The cycling tour, launched in 2004, encourages the public to honor injured veterans of this generation recovering from the physical and psychological effects of war. Soldier Ride is an opportunity for the public to support those military men and women by either cheering on the riders during the event or riding or walking along with them.
