GEICO office in Augusta under new leadership
AUGUSTA, Ga., April 16, 2015 – GEICO's Augusta office is now being headed by Louise (Lou) Cheek at its 3316 Dean's Bridge Rd. location.
Cheek began managing the office after the untimely passing of her husband, Charles. "Under Charles' leadership, we've served the greater Augusta area and members of the military at Ft. Gordon for more than 30 years," Cheek said. "We'll build on our office's tradition of delivering highly- competitive rates and an unmatched level of quality, personalized service."
Cheek and her team of four licensed agents, Ronda Treadwell, Amanda Stewart, Victoria Cave and Tabitha Thorne, have more than 30 years of insurance industry experience combined. Along with auto policies, the team can help with renters, homeowners, boat, RV and more forms of insurance. Additionally, the team works to bring more savings to customers in Aiken and Edgefield counties in South Carolina and the entire Central Savannah River Area through multi-line and special association discounts.
Cheek's team takes an active role in the community by sponsoring events that benefit the Fisher House, St. Mary's School, AUSA, the RECing Crew and Sacred Heart Cultural Center. The office also serves as a Golden Harvest Food Bank drop-off location during Spooky to be Hungry. Additionally, the team volunteers at local 5K races and represents GEICO at Greenjackets games.
