GEICO offers $2,500 Achievement Awards to eligible college students in 2016

WASHINGTON, D.C., Oct. 1, 2015 – College can be challenging enough without having to worry about the financial burden of tuition, room and board, books, and meal plans. GEICO strives to help lighten that load for deserving students through the GEICO Achievement Awards Program.

For more than 25 years, GEICO's Achievement Awards Program has been dedicated to supporting outstanding students across the country. The program offers $2,500 awards to more than 30 exceptional undergraduate students, recognizing them for their dedication to academic success, leadership and community service.

GEICO is now accepting applications for its 2016 Achievement Awards. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled fulltime in a bachelor's degree program at any accredited four-year college or university
  • Possess sophomore or junior status
  • Have at least a 3.0 overall GPA
  • Be majoring in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related program
  • Demonstrate leadership on campus and/or within the community
