GEICO named one of the top workplaces in Iowa 2 years in a row

CORALVILLE, Iowa, Dec. 5, 2015 – GEICO has been named one of Iowa's Top 150 Workplaces by The Des Moines Register for 2015. This is the second consecutive year GEICO's Coralville office has been recognized.

This designation goes well beyond salary and benefits. To be named among the top workplaces, employers must demonstrate that they provide associates with an environment in which they feel valued and fulfilled.

The Des Moines Register ranks Iowa's top workplaces based in large part on employee feedback. Associates are surveyed to measure what they view as most important within the workplace and how closely their employer aligns with those expectations.

GEICO was recognized for its rewarding career paths, professional development opportunities, and commitment to continued education. Associates also credited GEICO's friendly, supportive work environment as one of the reasons it is a top Iowa workplace.

"Being named among the top workplaces is a special honor for us," said Pete Rizzo, Coralville director. "It is important that our team members are highly satisfied in their careers. Our first operating principle is to respect, support and provide opportunity for all associates and we take pride in upholding that commitment."

Since opening its doors in 1997, GEICO's Coralville office has grown to employ more than 450 associates. As the company continues to grow in the Midwest, GEICO is looking forward to adding even more talented Iowa residents to the team.
