Spring has sprung: GEICO military bike tour kicks-off in Daytona on March 4

WASHINGTON, D.C., Feb. 27, 2016 – For avid bike fans, there's nothing better than the sweet sounds of a motorcycle coming to life with a roar in the spring. GEICO's military bike tour is also coming back to life, kicking off the 2016 motorcycle season in Daytona Beach, Fla., on March 4, for the 75th anniversary of Daytona Bike Week.

The GEICO military bike tour benefits military centric charities like the USO. At each tour stop, bike fans will have a chance to participate in a wide range of interactive, promotional activities, featuring games and prizes, a roaming Gecko at select locations, and GEICO's full-array of custom-built motorcycles on display. The GEICO motorcycle team will also be on hand to discuss motorcycle road and highway safety.

Misfit Industries will unveil two new GEICO show bikes to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Daytona Bike Week. The custom-built motorcycles are Harley-Davidson Road Kings, donated through a partnership with Shelly Rossmeyer of Bruce Rossmeyer's Daytona Harley-Davidson. The GEICO themed-bikes are a tribute to GEICO's longstanding support of the motorcycle community and events such as Daytona Bike Week. Both bikes will be revealed during a "grand opening" ceremony at the Daytona Beach Bandshell on March 7.
