Ashley Bullard to lead GEICO local office in Maine

PORTLAND, Maine, Jan. 9, 2019 – Ashley Bullard will lead a team of licensed agents at GEICO's new local office in Portland at 91 Auburn St. in the Northgate Plaza. This is GEICO's first local office to open in Maine.

Bullard has strong ties to GEICO. Prior to opening the Portland local office, Bullard worked as a sales agent at GEICO's local office in Hampton, Virginia, for three years and also assisted with opening GEICO's second local office near Richmond, Virginia.

Bullard and her staff members—John DeForest, Frank Hemphill, Jeff Bean, Ann Fortune Michael Lacombe and Ryan Hatch—are all licensed to write insurance in both Maine and New Hampshire. In addition to auto insurance, team members can assist with coverage for homeowners, renters, condos, identity theft protection, umbrella and more forms of insurance.

The Portland local office team also can assist with coverage for boats, RV's, ATV's and motorcycles for those who enjoy spending time outdoors on Maine's coastline or in the forests.

"Residents across the state of Maine have a strong sense of community," Bullard said. "That gives us an excellent opportunity to deliver GEICO's insurance products with a personal touch, while also building strong ties with local Portlanders and those in other areas of the state."

GEICO agents in the Portland local office look to bring savings to policyholders through multi-line and special association and alumni discounts. For example, alumni from University of Maine and University of New Hampshire may qualify for additional savings.

Weekday hours for GEICO's Portland local office are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. To get a quote or learn more visit GEICO's Portland local office online or call (207) 387-6838.

GEICO (Government Employees Insurance Company), the second-largest auto insurer in the U.S., was founded in 1936 and insures more than 28 million vehicles.
