Growing up bilingual has benefited Molina in her career at GEICO
LAKELAND, Fla., Oct. 7, 2019 – Zulema Molina has been bilingual for as long as she can remember.
While growing up in central Florida, Zulema's parents required her and her siblings to hold conversations in both English and Spanish.
"My parents were big advocates of speaking both languages," she said. "They would often tell us how important that would be for our future."
For Zulema, her parent's prediction has come true.
For the last nine years, she has been on GEICO's bilingual customer service team at the company's Lakeland, Florida, regional office. Her team is known for their positive energy and delivering great customer outcomes.
"I am inspired by positivity and challenges," Zulema said. "I am also inspired by being a part of a team that really makes a difference."
In all, Zulema has been with GEICO 17 years. She had recently earned her degree in Business Administration from Central Florida University when a friend suggested she apply. Before joining the bilingual customer service team, Zulema worked in sales and in the English-speaking customer service division. She says the range of career opportunities is one of the reasons she came to GEICO.
