GEICO Associates and the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation Team Up to Help Donate 1.25 Million Meals* In April

WASHINGTON D.C., May 18, 2021—GEICO Associates and the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation donated $125,000 to Feeding America during April.

With $1 helping to provide at least 10 meals, the month-long campaign resulted in 1.25 million meals* going to people facing hunger through the Feeding America network of food banks.

Community connection and service have long been important to the GEICO family.

"GEICO Cares isn't just a slogan," said Carl Tims, GEICO's Vice President of Community Engagement and Chief Diversity Officer. "Because of our associates' deep desire to improve their communities, throughout the year, GEICO will partner with them and other organizations to donate to important causes, like food insecurity, that are affecting so many."

A member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies, GEICO was founded more than 80 years ago and has a longstanding commitment to communities across the country.
