Data and Analytics
Use data to make strategic decisions.
Are you ready to work on significant projects that will make a difference to millions of customers? GEICO is hiring intellectually curious, tech-savvy and driven analysts who possess Bachelor's degrees in quantitative and technical fields, as well as programming experience and strong communication skills.
Product Strategy Analyst
As Product Strategy Analyst, you will directly contribute to GEICO's overall growth and profitability by utilizing predictive analytics to help evaluate factors that enhance our line of insurance products. A typical day may include using various programming languages to analyze sales and profit data, monitoring GEICO's competitive position, and presenting strategic business proposals to senior management.
In this role, you'll help GEICO address long and short-term business objectives, own your projects, build on previous analyses and collaborate on innovative projects. A typical day may include analyzing large data sets, creating reports using SQL, SAS or Excel, developing information systems or presenting proposals to management.
At GEICO, analytics are fundamental to our business and complex analysis is a part of everything that we do. Analysts apply data-mining, statistical and advanced modeling techniques to come up with transformative business solutions. We're looking for analysts to identify customer risk profiles, model shopping behavior, identify potential underwriting fraud and evaluate new data sources.
As an analyst in our Competitive Advantage Leadership Group, we'll teach you to use LEAN Six Sigma tools and techniques. With this knowledge and your team-oriented attitude, you'll become Green Belt certified, and lead company-wide process reviews and related activities that make our company more efficient and successful.
Internet Business Unit Analysts
GEICO's Internet Business Unit (IBU) is a highly motivated team that understands how the Web impacts our business and customers. Collectively, the IBU aims to make GEICO a leader within the Internet, mobile and social media spaces. The IBU occasionally hires analysts to work on our Customer Experience, Survey, Metrics and/or Usability teams.
Strategic Modeling Analyst
As a Strategic Modeling Analyst, you will have an opportunity to be involved in the development of complex solutions to critical business problems faced by GEICO. You will be collecting, organizing, validating and analyzing data to support these product reviews or pricing analyses, utilizing statistical modeling and analysis techniques on state specific and countrywide data, and then presenting and communicating your proposals to all levels of management, including the regional and corporate executives.
