What is the difference between the Auto and Property divisions?

GEICO is one of the largest auto insurers in America with more than 14 million policies in force. What you may not know is that we also service homeowners, condo, renters, boat, RV, ATV and flood insurance.

Where do GEICO's customer service associates work?

Customer Service Representatives—serving our auto customers—work a variety of schedules in most major GEICO locations. Jobs in the GEICO Insurance Agency, Inc. are available in Buffalo, NY, Fredericksburg, VA and Virginia Beach, VA. Depending upon the hiring needs of those offices, a recruiter may talk with you about a position in either the Auto or Property insurance divisions.

What do I do at GEICO?

The department I work for provides outstanding service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to GEICO customers. We answer questions from our policyholders about their policies. We also assist our policyholders make additions or modifications to their policies. Our goal is to keep our policyholders happy and satisfied with GEICO. Our department directly impacts customer retention.

What do I like best about working for GEICO?

I like my job because I learn something new about the insurance industry every day. GEICO is a great company to work for. There are many opportunities to move up within the company, which is very important to me, and the benefits are outstanding.

What do I do at GEICO?

We're the point of contact for our existing policyholders. We take care of all changes they need to make to their policies—including adding or changing vehicles and drivers, modifying their coverage, and posting payments to their accounts. We're also available to answer general questions from policyholders.

What do I like best about working for GEICO?

For me, one of the best things about working at GEICO is working part-time. My part-time schedule allows me to balance my family life and my career, and it lets me be dedicated to both. The people at GEICO are great, and I really enjoy my co-workers.

But, most of all, I really enjoy helping people. So, for me, the customer service department is the right place to be!
