We're reimagining insurance.
You wouldn't expect a car insurance company famous for a talking lizard to be one of America's top technology leaders, but we're innovating every day. Don't believe us? Just ask Forrester and Dynatrace, who've awarded our teams with top honors in web and mobile development. AnitaB.org can tell you how we're trailblazers for women technologists. Or maybe you could ask one of over two-thousand tech pros who make hundreds of amazing features come to life. We're making great strides in reimagining insurance—and we want you to have a part in it.
What makes us a tech company?
It might not be the same as joining a start-up in Silicon Valley, but a GEICO career in tech isn't what you expect. Insurance is an industry that matters, one that everyone needs and values. And within GEICO, tech is at the core of everything we do, which means you can work on innovative and influential technologies in a successful company.
We're utilizing emerging technologies to drive results, enhance the customer experience, and impact bottom-line results. As a proven online and mobile industry leader, our teams use .NET, C#, Guidewire, Duck Creek, Java, Oracle, SQL, Hadoop, iOS, Android, and other leading systems and platforms. And our contributions, from the GEICO Mobile app to the online auto quote application, have a direct impact on each of our 16 million (and growing) policyholders.
Here, you can learn, move, and grow in ways you can't anywhere else. We accept tech pros from all levels of experience and we can't wait to help you succeed.
Develop Your Code - And Yourself
We know that the tech world is a highly competitive one, so we work hard to give our associates that crucial edge to succeed. Our team leads and managers truly believe in the power of mentorship to help associates embrace our promote-from-within culture. We host a number of monthly professional certification classes and user groups to keep your skills sharp.
Perhaps you're new to the workforce, but unsure how to use your shiny new tech prowess. We've been there—that's why GEICO started our unique Technology Development Program. This fast track, rotational program launches you directly into our Software Development or Infrastructure teams to learn all facets of our varied tech work. Talk about unexpected.
Many Locations, One Goal
Most tech pros work in our growing corporate office. This 26-acre campus is located in a bustling Washington, D.C. suburb and is within walking distance of the Friendship Heights Metro, world-class shopping and great dining. New to our IT department is our expanded operation in Indianapolis, IN. This location will focus mainly on cloud computing and full stack development, as well as house our brand new Cloud Academy for those looking to jump start their IT career. Occasionally, there are IT jobs at our Macon, GA or Fredericksburg, VA locations.
