Management Development Program

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or a related field, and a 3.0 overall GPA required.

In GEICO's Management Development Program, you will learn all about one of our major insurance operations and be on the fast-track to management. We'll give you all the tools you will need to succeed:

Emerging Leaders Program

Designed for Business, Math, IT and related majors overall GPA of 3.5 required.

Emerging Leaders gain a holistic view of GEICO's overall business or IT operations through in-depth job rotations. This selective program offers two tracks:

  • Operations Management – Learn about our dynamic business from the ground up! In this track, you will rotate through several departments, attend training classes, receive hands-on experience, coach associates, and contribute to company-wide projects.
  • Information Technology – You will work with innovative teams and utilize the latest in web and mobile technologies, while developing your own technical, business, and project management skills.

As one of GEICO's Emerging Leaders, you will be mentored by executives, attend leadership conferences, and work on projects that impact our business. Our goal is to develop you into a successful operations manager or IT lead.

What do I do at GEICO?

The Management Development Program allowed me to grow and interact with a variety of people and departments, and really prepared me for success in a leadership role. Shortly after completing the program, I was promoted to supervisor for our Military Service department, where we proudly serve those who serve us. I am also developing myself further by working toward the Associate in General Insurance designation with GEICO's support.

What do I like best about working for GEICO?

After graduating from college, I decided to start my career with GEICO because of the company's reputation as a great employer and the opportunities for professional and personal growth. It was important to work for a company with outstanding values that provides great service to its customers, and at the same time, values their employees.

What do I do at GEICO?

I joined the Emerging Leaders Program after graduating from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor's in Psychology and a MBA in Marketing. Quickly, I realized it was the perfect transition from college to the corporate environment. After completing the program, I was promoted to Manager of Sales, Service and Underwriting for Miami, FL. In 2010, I became the Service Director in Lakeland, FL, and from there transitioned into my current role as Assistant Vice President of Underwriting for our Midwest operations in Macon, GA.

What do I like best about working for GEICO?

GEICO is a place where hard work is rewarded, and as a result I look forward to many more years of working and being part of the GEICO family, as well as giving back to others for all the opportunities and development I have received. From the beginning, I recognized that working for GEICO is more than just a job; it is a career, and a future, which has far exceeded my expectations!
