Supporting women technologists at the Grace Hopper Celebration

As an AnitaB.org Institute Pioneering Partner, GEICO works with other partner companies creating the opportunity for a robust representation of women in technology at all levels.

We have made diversity a top priority by promoting an all-inclusive environment that emphasizes leadership, training and career-advancing roles for women in IT.

Last year, GEICO was named to the Top Five list of 2018 Top Companies for Women Technologists. In 2017, our first year in attendance at the Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC), we were recognized as the Top Companies for Women Technologists winner.

Being Honored by AnitaB.org

Each year at GHC, AnitaB.org recognizes companies building workplaces where women can thrive with the Top Companies for Women Technologists award. In 2017, GEICO earned the highest total score for a company with a technical workforce between 1,000 and 10,000. AnitaB.org cited GEICO for a "corporate culture that revolves around promoting diversity and inclusion" and "creating several rotational programs for entry level technologists and management that provide ongoing training for continued professional growth."

Last year, GEICO was recognized for companies with a technical workforce of between 1,000 and 10,000 employees for the new 2018 Top Companies for Women Technologists Top 5 lists.

We're thrilled to be recognized again as one of the 2019 Leaders in AnitaB.org's Top Companies for Women Technologists Program.

Nisha W.

Travelling…to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration, is something I never thought myself capable of, as a young girl in India, but thanks to my hard work and supporting colleagues I did it.

– Nisha W.

Joanna W.

It was so empowering to be in the presence of so many strong, brilliant women who are all passionate about technology and supportive of each other.

– Joanna W.

Uma S.

Successful leadership is not only about portraying success but is also about understanding its failure. Seeing leaders share their failures showed humility and was encouraging to hear. I visualized how this positive energy clung to individuals during the keynote sessions.
