Purpose of a commercial: “To capture your attention, to make the message memorable.” Well done! The fact it’s very funny and thought provoking is icing on the cake. The actor Michael Mazzeo is awesome, his expressions makes the whole crazy idea of MarcoPolo fully dressed in a backyard pool believable. And the llama/alpaca? WHY NOT! It too ” should not be surprising.”

  2. Ana Maria says

I would love to understand why a llama, a South American camelid , has to do in a comercial next to Marco Polo, a Venetian explorer/merchant from the 13th century, before Columbus was even born. It really looks ignorant.

    • joe says

The llama looks ignorant but Marco Polo being in North America while swimming in a backyard pool in the 21st century is historically accurate?

  3. PatD says

I Luv the commercial! It is your best one yet! Love the gentlemen who speaks perfect Italian! It’ a classic.

  4. Cheryl Lowe says

I love a lot of your Geico commercials but the one with Marco Polo I change the station every time I see that stupid add please get rid of it!

  5. Paul says

I find it humorous that a commercial that places an early explorer frome Italy to Asia in a modern American back yard, has people questioning the appearance of a llama (or is it an alpaca?) near the people? Looking for historical accuracy?
    Love the commercial.

  6. Don says

The Marco Polo commercial for GEICO is the dumbest one I have every seen I mute my TV every time it comes on the TV
