It’s a commitment that has led GEICO to expand its relationship with the United Services Organization (USO). The partnership includes support for Ride 2 Recovery, which helps Veterans through a number of different programs, including multi-day rides called Challenges.
For this year’s Ride 2 Recovery Memorial Challenge, beginning May 29, hundreds of Veterans will start in Washington, D.C. and journey to Virginia Beach, home of GEICO’s Military Sales and Service Center. GEICO will support riders along the way with rest stops, drinks and food. The USO will also set up mobile canteens to cater lunches for each section of the Challenge.
“Since 1936, GEICO has had a deep connection with the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces,” says Thomas Garner, Director of GEICO’s Military Division. “The USO Ride 2 Recovery Events are a great way to honor the sacrifice, commitment and courage of our Military personnel.”
