Emergency Road Service (Towing and Labor Coverage)

“Oh no! Your tire’s all flat and junk!”Pothole

You’ve seen them – the potholes the size of Texas that you can’t avoid, resulting in a flat tire.  GEICO’s Emergency Road Service* (ERS) offers protection for many of the problems that are not typically handled by your auto insurance, such as: being locked out of your car, jump starting a dead battery, or changing a flat tire.

GEICO can help you with these hassles and inconveniences to get your car back on the road or to a facility where repairs can be made. Take that, pothole!

Emergency Road Service: Convenient And Inexpensive

ERS provides you with 24-hour toll-free assistance, 365 days a year. Call 1-800-424-3426 if you would like to speak to an ERS representative.

As little as $14 each year per car could mean the difference between getting back on the road quickly, or sitting on the side of the road listening to the top 40 countdown while waiting for a costly tow. And, unlike a motor club, there is no extra charge for additional drivers.

Emergency Towing

Not every problem can be solved on the side of the road.  For the times when your car needs a little extra assistance, ERS will provide emergency towing service to a repair facility that can fix your ride.

Emergency Lockout Service

You don’t want to be the guy in the parking lot maneuvering a metal coat hanger through your car window for an hour.  Our emergency lockout service will assist you by sending an authorized locksmith to get you back into your car. Coverage is limited to $100 total for cost of labor and supplies for the following services: key breaks in the ignition, broken key in the door or trunk, lost keys, or keys locked in the car.

ERS Reimbursement

If you recently had to use your ERS and paid out-of-pocket for the service, submit the original copy of the road service bill (including your policy number). We will reimburse you based on the limits of your coverage.

Requests for reimbursement should be sent to:
GEICO
Emergency Road Service
P.O. Box 8075
Macon, GA. 31208-8075

Or, call us at 1-800-522-7775 if you have questions regarding reimbursement.

This coverage is only available to policyholders in the GEICO Companies - another great reason to insure with GEICO. If you have more than one eligible vehicle insured with GEICO, we recommend you include ERS protection on each one.

*In North Carolina, Emergency Road Service is called Towing and Labor Coverage. Services offered may vary by state.
