New Jersey Defensive Driver Discount

If you are a resident of New Jersey, you could save up to 5% on applicable coverages by taking a defensive driving course. One way to take advantage of this discount is through an on-line defensive driving course. Since your time is valuable, you will find this course convenient and flexible to your needs.

The National Safety Council offers online defensive driving courses to GEICO policyholders. Please select the appropriate class from the links below:

Policyholders who are age 50 or older: National Safety Council

All other policyholders: National Safety Council

In order to receive the discount from GEICO, eligible policyholders will need to follow these two steps:

1. Provide GEICO with a copy of the course completion certificate:
   • Via fax (516) 704-2511, attention: "Policy Processing" or
   • Mail to:
     GEICO
     Attn: Region 2 Policy Processing
     P. O. Box 9506
     Fredericksburg, Virginia 22403-9506
   • Be sure to include your policy number on all correspondence. Once the certificate has been processed, you will receive verification of the savings by mail.
2. Submit all information within 90 days of the course completion in order to have the discount apply from the date the course was completed.

Once GEICO has received the certificate information, we will apply the discount to your policy.

In New Jersey, you may be eligible for this discount if:

• You have completed and passed a course approved by GEICO and the National Safety Council (NSC).
