FREDERICKSBURG, Va., April 23, 2013 – GEICO, Virginia's second largest auto insurer, recently reached a significant milestone of one-million auto insurance policies in force. Associates in the Fredericksburg regional operation will mark the achievement on May 9, with a celebration to recognize the customer who purchased the policy.

GEICO's Fredericksburg office opened in 1990. The office employs more than 3,300 associates and has primary responsibility for the Mid-Atlantic region. In January, the Fredericksburg office was recognized as a 2013 Best Places to Work in Virginia by Virginia Business and Best Companies Group.
