Program for Federal Employees

GEICO was created over 60 years ago to insure federal employees. Over the years GEICO has continuously strengthened its affiliation with the federal workforce. Today GEICO has a special program established to support the federal community. GEICO’s federal program participates in the following organizations and programs:

GEICO Public Service Awards (GPSA) Since 1980 GEICO has sponsored the GPSA in honoring federal workers (active and retired) who have contributed to the public good. Visit this page to see past award winners.

GEICO Federal Leave Record Cards For over 40 years GEICO has been providing leave cards to federal employees, free of charge, to help them track their annual leave.

Child Seats GEICO has donated thousands of child/infant seats to federal day care centers and Military installations.

Health and Safety fairs GEICO distributes free safety brochures on auto safety, teenage driving, drinking and driving, children and airbags, shopping for a safer car and many others.

Savings bond drives/Combined Federal Campaigns (CFC) GEICO assists Federal agencies in demonstrating the importance of the savings bond drive and CFC.

Public Employees Roundtable (PER) PER’s mission is to illustrate to the American public all the good work federal employees do to benefit their country. PER hosts Public Service Recognition Week, which is held across the United States.

Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) FEEA is a nonprofit organization that receives donations from federal employees to provide financial assistance to federal workers in times of financial hardship and for education. GEICO assisted FEEA in establishing the Oklahoma Bombing Scholarship Fund for the children of federal employees who died in the Oklahoma bombing.
