If your car is damaged in an accident:
The first step in getting an estimate is to call us at 1-800-861-8380 to set up an appointment. The next step depends on whether or not your car is safe to drive. If you are in doubt then don't drive the car. If you know your car can be driven safely then we will set up time to bring your car in to GEICO for a damage estimate.
At the GEICO inspection site, our auto damage adjuster will look at the extent of the damage and in many cases give you a vehicle damage estimate. This appointment typically takes about 30 minutes. In most cases, you'll receive payment for the estimated damage.
If your car is not safe to drive, we will dispatch a GEICO adjuster to look at your car at the location where it has been towed (think "K" above). You don't have to meet with our adjuster at the tow location unless you want to.
