Your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Parts coverage helps make sure your vehicle is repaired using parts made by your manufacturer instead of aftermarket components.
When a covered claim requires repairs, estimates are created based on OEM parts whenever possible, and your deductible doesn’t change. If an OEM part isn’t available, the repair shop may use aftermarket parts of comparable quality. The add-on doesn’t apply to custom parts or routine maintenance items like tires.
OEM Parts is an add-on endorsement. Not available in all states or all situations. Requires comprehensive and collision coverage, and is available for vehicles less than 5 years old. Coverage may not apply to all vehicles on your policy. Check your coverage details.
