Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Parts coverage could be added to your policy to ensure that estimates are based on parts made by your manufacturer instead of aftermarket components.
When a covered claim requires repairs, estimates are based on parts sourced from the manufacturer whenever possible, and your deductible doesn’t change. If an OEM part isn’t available, the repair shop may use aftermarket parts of comparable quality. The add-on requires comprehensive and collision coverage and is available for vehicles less than 5 years old.
