Listed below are the highlights of GEICO's SPONSORED MARKETING PROGRAM
Policy Term
The auto policy term is semi-annual (6 months).
Premium Rates
The rates used to compute your final premium are the same rates as those used to compute the premium of insureds not in a participating group in the State of New Jersey, less the SPONSORED MARKETING DISCOUNT of 8%.
Eligibility
Participants in the SPONSORED MARKETING PROGRAM must be members of a professional organization or alumni association which sponsors GEICO auto insurance as a benefit at the time the discount is initially applied to the policy. You are also eligible if you are an active federal employee in General Service (GS) grades 11 or higher or are a shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway at the time the discount is initially applied to the policy. Participants must meet minimum underwriting guidelines which are the same as those in general use in the State of New Jersey. This PROGRAM is only available if you are insured in either of the companies named above.
Plan Features
The coverages available through this program are the same as those offered to policyholders not in a participating group in the state of New Jersey. The discount applies to all coverages except Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists Bodily Injury and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Property Damage and Additional Personal Injury Protection.
Duration Of Coverage/Conversion Privileges
Participants continue to be eligible for coverage as long as they remain members of the professional organization, or alumni association, or are a shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway or a Federal employee in General Service (GS) grades 11 or higher. Participants may convert to a regular policy at their next renewal after they are no longer an eligible participant or the designated group no longer participates in GEICO's SPONSORED MARKETING PROGRAM.
Financial Interests
Monthly inquiry fees, list fees, advertising and sponsorships may be paid to participating groups.
