GEICO officially relocates headquarters to downtown Bethesda

GEICO has officially established its new headquarters in downtown Bethesda, relocating roughly two miles from its previous home in Friendship Heights. The move places GEICO in the heart of one of the region's most dynamic and walkable downtowns, with direct Metro access and abundant dining and retail.

GEICO now occupies six floors of The Wilson, a building located at 7272 Wisconsin Avenue. The new office offers an environment built with the latest infrastructure and facilities, including flexible work areas, open workspaces, and social spaces designed to encourage collaboration and interaction among employees and their teams.

And the new space is full of personality. Employees are greeted by a Lego Gecko built from 36,766 bricks. The Gecko gets around easily, too: exclusive tiny doors sized just for him are tucked throughout the building, a nod to how closely he works with employees across every floor. A history wall traces GEICO's journey from its founding 90 years ago in 1936 in Texas to the company it is today. And words of Gecko wisdom turn up in every corner, including favorites like "A positive attitude is everything" and "Dream big. Dreams are like a pair of trousers. They should be a size or two larger than you need so you can grow into them."

Beyond the personality, the office is built for comfort and connection. Each floor features coffee stations and sparkling water machines, with a fully stocked kitchen and pantry and a rooftop terrace offering views of Washington, D.C. GEICO branding can be found across the office, a reminder of the company's identity at every turn.
